Pre-employment/ Re-engagement medical examination

These pre-employment medical examinations and re-engagement medical examinations are essential tools to determine whether an employee is fit to perform his job without risk to himself or others. Whatever the industry, the health and safety of your staff is essential and is key to optimizing the company’s productivity.

Typically, such medical examinations will involve assessing the individual’s medical background, as well as check for any chronic conditions, and infectious diseases. The details of the pre-employment/ re-engagement checks will depend on the industry, nature of work, and age of the employee.

Acumed is able to provide these medical examinations that are customized to your company’s needs and requirements.

Fitness to return to work examination

Workers returning to work after a serious illness or injury may pose a hazard to himself or others. Fitness to return to work is a medical assessment done when an employer wishes to be sure an employee can safely do a specific job or task.

Our Designated Workplace Doctor will assess the individual and take into account the job scope, industry and individual medical condition. Thereafter, we will provide recommendations to the company. Such recommendations will include the suitability of the individual to return to work, as well as any changes or modifications to the job scope necessary.

These medical examinations can only be performed by Designated Workplace Doctors (DWDs) registered with the Ministry of Manpower.
